Seminar: Romania – Market, Potential, and Opportunities for Polish Enterprises – September 29

On September 29, at the headquarters of Employers of Poland (Pracodawcy RP) in Warsaw, the seminar “Romania – Market, Potential, and Opportunities for Polish Enterprises” was held. Organized jointly by Employers of Poland and the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event brought together members of both institutions to discuss business and investment opportunities in Romania.

The seminar provided a unique platform for exchange of knowledge, experiences, and networking between Polish entrepreneurs, representatives of Romanian institutions, and experts in economic cooperation.

Program Highlights

  • Opening remarks were delivered by Maciej Legutko, Director of the International Cooperation Department at Employers of Poland, who also moderated the event.
  • Adam Sobieszkoda, Executive Director of the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented the broader economic context, highlighting Romania’s dynamic growth and its position on Europe’s economic map. He emphasized the growing potential of the Romanian market for Polish enterprises.
  • Ștefan Porojan, Minister-Counsellor at the Economic and Commercial Promotion Office of the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Poland, outlined key investment opportunities for Polish companies, emphasizing Romania’s favorable economic climate and the steady growth of bilateral trade.
  • Csilla Hegedus, Deputy Director of the North-West Regional Development Agency (Agenţia de Dezvoltare Regională Nord-Vest) in Cluj-Napoca, described the region as “the gateway to the Romanian market” highlighting its strategic role in attracting international investors.
  • Anca Roman, Head of the INNO and Investment Attraction Department at the North-West Regional Development Agency (Agenţia de Dezvoltare Regională Nord-Vest) in Cluj-Napoca, presented Smart Specialization Parks as innovative infrastructure supporting business growth, offering access to EU funding, dedicated services for companies entering the Romanian market, and ready-to-use investment plots in the region.

The official part of the seminar was followed by a networking session, giving participants the opportunity to establish direct contacts and discuss future cooperation in a more informal setting.

The seminar confirmed the growing interest of Polish enterprises in Romania. It also highlighted the importance of institutional cooperation between Employers of Poland and the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting the business expansion and cross-border investments of Polish companies in the Romanian market.
