On 2 June, the Executive Roundtable: Infrastructure Development and Projects in Romania took place in Bucharest. The event was organized by the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The special guest of the event was Mr. Claudiu Staicu, Deputy Director General for EU-Funded Projects at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania.
During the meeting, Mr. Staicu presented a comprehensive overview of:
- The current development of Romania’s road and railway infrastructure.
- Upcoming priorities in intermodal transport and planned tenders.
- Key challenges in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Particular attention was given to the modernization and construction of railway lines, which are set to strengthen Romania’s position as a regional intermodal hub. The discussion also covered the strategic modernization plans for the Port of Constanța, emphasizing its growing role as a crucial transport and logistics gateway in the Black Sea region.
The roundtable provided an excellent platform for member companies to gain insider insights and engage in high-level networking, fostering closer economic cooperation between Poland and Romania.
