Trade Mission with Polish Companies to Romania

On November 19-21, our Chamber jointly with Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza (Polish Chamber of Commerce) organized a trade mission with Polish companies to Romania. The mission was attended by representatives of companies: Bristles, Ledolux Poland, Luxrad, Honya Europe, AmerPharma, FINTEQ. The mission included b2b meetings in three centers: Cluj-Napoca, Brasov and Bucharest.

The meeting in Cluj-Napoca was organized in cooperation with the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Northwest (Agenția de Dezvoltare Regională Nord-Vest). Representatives of the agency in the persons of Csilla Hegedus, General Director and Anca Roman, Head of INNO Platform and Investment Attraction Department presented investment and business opportunities in the region and the benefits of investment from the Northwest region. Apart from the Polish-Romanian Business Meeting, the delegation visited the brand new logistics center of the company Raben in Cluj-Napoca, where representatives of the company talked about Raben’s activities and offer in Romania.

On the second day of the mission, the Polish-Romanian Business Meeting was held in Brasov in cooperation with the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was opened by Silviu Costea, President of the Chamber and by Rosia – Micu Cosmin, General Director. Representatives of the Chamber presented Brasov and the region, emphasizing the economic importance of Brasov for Romania.

The mission concluded in Bucharest with the Polish-Romanian Business Forum held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. The Forum was opened by Ovidiu Silaghi, General Secretary of the Chamber and Eduard Costin, Director of Foreign Affairs Department of the Chamber. On the Polish side of the delegation, a representative of our Chamber Adam Sobieszkoda and Katarzyna Kaniewska from Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza (Polish Chamber of Commerce) talked about cooperation between Poland and Romania and the economic and business relations that link the two countries. The speakers of the Forum, and at the same time representatives of the partners of the mission to Romania, presented aspects of doing business between Poland and Romania: Agnieszka Olsen from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), Jan Majewski from PKO Bank Polski, and Andrei Pădurean from Ebury.

The purpose of the economic mission to Romania was to establish business contacts with Romanian companies, but also to familiarize participants with Romania and the Romanian market. For many of them, this was their first visit to this beautiful country, which provided them with first-hand information about the market and an opportunity to take a closer look at Romania.
