On the 4-5th of March in Warsaw took place Women Leadership Forum (WLF), which has been organized by the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Romanian Embassy in Warsaw and the Romanian Institute of Culture. It was a unique event that took place under the High Patronage of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, who on the invitation of the Embassy of Romania visited Poland, together with her husband His Royal Highness Radu, Prince of Romania.
“Poland and Romania have a similar culture, they share many years of cooperation and similar contemporary challenges. As a bilateral chamber, we particularly care for the development of bilateral economic relations connecting both countries. The goal of Women Leadership Forum is to emphasize the role of women in business, politics and science. Undoubtedly, they have a driving force in many fields, which is why I am convinced that the topics presented during the debates can be an interesting inspiration. – said Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, President of the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the opening ceremony.
The guests of the Forum were entrepreneurs representing Poland and Romania, well-known personalities from the world of business, politics and science from both countries. The first day of the Forum covered the public diplomacy segment and was combined with a fashion show of young and talented designers from Poland and Romania, promoting the values and traditions of both countries Aneta Larysa Knap, founder and owner of the Folk Design brand and Iulia Ghenea & Emilia Tudoran (IE-Clothing) from Romania presented their projects. The next day was devoted to the conference “Women Today: Voices from Central Europe” with an introductory part and two discussion panels entitled “Successful Women in public life” and “Young Women Innovators: Women Changing the Economy”. On this day occurred, among others Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Poland and Simona Cojocaru, Deputy Minister of Defence, Romania.
The WLF event was also accompanied by an economic mission, which was attended by entrepreneurs from Poland and Romania interested in establishing cooperation and representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Warsaw, the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Chamber of Commerce.
