On Thursday, September 5, a networking reception was held at the Embassy of Romania in Warsaw on the occasion of an official delegation from Oradea in honor of the launch of an air route between Warsaw and Oradea. The delegation from Oradea consisted of representatives from Visit Oradea headed by General Director Alexandru Chira, Răzvan Horga CEO of the Oradea Airport, and representatives of the Oradea tourism industry including Ramada by Wyndham Oradea, DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea Hotel, Turism Felix SA, Hotel President Băila Felix. The reception was attended by members of the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of Polish companies and organizations interested in cooperation.
The reception was opened by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Romania to Poland, Mr. Cosmin Onisii, who emphasized the economic and tourist potential of Oradea, a dynamic city with a rich history, as well as the attractiveness of the local business community, also from the perspective of the city’s favorable strategic location.
Adam Sobieszkoda spoke on behalf of our Chamber, who, thanking the representatives of the Oradea Airport, the Visit Oradea and LOT Polish Airlines for their commitment and cooperation to the launch of the route. He encouraged Polish companies to take a closer look at Oradea from a business and investment perspective. The importance of Oradea is significant because the strategic Via Carpatia transport route will pass through Oradea, making the city an important transport and logistics hub.
The event was another one during which our Chamber, in cooperation with the Embassy of Romania to Poland, promoted Polish-Romanian cooperation.
